I've made a payment to my account by cheque - how long will it take to clear?
A cheque can take up to 4 working days to clear from the date we receive it. An easier and faster way of payment is by direct debit; this will be collected automatically every month and you won't miss making a payment. You can set up a direct debit by using our online account service.
