Every time you use your card abroad, we will charge a foreign exchange fee, which is a percentage of the transaction value - current interest rates and charges can be viewed online.
The amount of the charge will be detailed beneath the transaction on your statement. It covers the costs we incur for foreign transactions and conversion from foreign currency into £ sterling. If you withdraw cash using your card abroad you'll incur a foreign exchange fee, together with a cash advance charge.
If you're planning to use your card abroad please send a message to our customer service team using the "contact us" facility in our online account service. You'll need to advise us which country you'll be visiting and when, together with a phone number(s) for us to use in case we need to make contact whilst you're abroad. We'll continue to monitor your account and may occasionally block transactions and call you to confirm them.
