Your selected question
Is the Card Security Code the same as my PIN?
No - the Card Security Code (sometimes also known as the "CVV" number) is the last 3 digits of the number printed on the signature strip on the back of your card. It will only be requested when making transactions by phone or over the internet.
Your PIN is a 4 digit number that is advised to you securely and needs to be memorised - you will need to use it to confirm transactions when using ATMs and Chip & PIN pads. You must never disclose your PIN.
