Why have you decreased my credit limit?

We're committed to lending responsibly and conduct regular reviews of all customers' credit limits. Sometimes this can result in an increase or decrease to the credit limit.

Credit limits are decided on an individual basis and depend on your credit card usage and spending patterns. Our intention is to give you a credit limit that allows you to use the card flexibly, without setting the limit too high.

Certain events will trigger a decrease - for example, changes to your spending pattern or instances of missed or late payments.

If we reduce your credit limit we'll set it to an amount marginally above the account's current balance - at least 105% of the balance. If your limit is reduced, it won't exclude you from being considered for future increases.
